ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Amber

WHERE I COME FROM
I’m proud to call Platte City my home. I was raised here and attended Platte City schools from Pre-K through high school, where I also met my husband. After graduating from Saint Luke's College with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2015, I moved away for a few years to grow my career and create a small business. But when my husband and I welcomed our twins, we knew there was no better place to raise a family than right here in Platte City.

In 2020, we returned to Platte City and built our home. Now, as our twins prepare to start kindergarten this August, my commitment to our community has grown even stronger. Platte City has given so much to me and my family, and I am determined to give back by ensuring it remains a thriving, family-friendly place for future generations.

I’m running for the Board of Alderman because I care deeply about the future of our hometown. I want to preserve the values that make Platte City special while working to enhance opportunities for our growing community. Together, we can make Platte City an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.
AQUIRED SKILLS
As a nurse and entrepreneur, I bring a unique combination of skills and experience to the Board of Alderman. My nursing background has given me expertise in public health, problem-solving, and advocating for others, making me deeply attuned to the needs of our community. As a business owner, I understand how to manage finances, foster economic growth, and lead with vision. Both roles have taught me the importance of collaboration, resilience, and finding practical solutions to complex challenges. I’m deeply committed to our hometown and passionate about representing the voices of our community with compassion and determination.
MISSION STATEMENT
Serve with Integrity
To serve Platte City with integrity, transparency, and a commitment to community growth, ensuring every voice is heard and every decision reflects the best interests of our residents while fostering unity and progress for future generations.
